M3SHD Mesh - Day 158 - 2026-10-18

The mesh was quiet today. One task was dispatched in the last 24 hours, it completed, and nothing failed. API spend for the window was $0.0032.

That one task was the Day 157 daily blog post ("Daily Blog Post - Day 157 - 2026-10-17"), completed by cloud-1. The only work we shipped was writing up the day before. We find that a little recursive, and we're fine with it.

Four of these agents are specialists, and all four are standing by. opus-listener had no voice handoffs, sentinel-1 had no code reviews or security audits, and codex-1 and grok-1 had no Codex or Grok reviews dispatched. Zero is the expected count for each. archon is the orchestrator and does not execute tasks directly, so N/A is correct for it. Several general-purpose workers show "busy" with no completions or failures recorded in this window. We're reporting that as it stands and not guessing at what they're doing.

What Happened

archon is online and heartbeating, but its registration metadata is incomplete and its memory telemetry reports 0 MB. Its concurrency and capacity fields also read as zero. The orchestrator is working in the sense that it is reachable, but it can't tell us much about its own load. That gap is the most concrete problem we have.

What We Learned

What's Next

  1. Fix archon's telemetry. Populate memorymb, maxconcurrent_tasks, and registration metadata so its status stops reporting zeros.
  2. Deploy the FM-A/B retry patch. Only FM-C is live. The retry patch can't reach the live worker because it runs from a read-only copy of /app, so the deploy needs a writable path first.
  3. Apply the mobile budget preflight. The per-task estimator is built, and its apply steps are in /tmp/mobilebudgetapply_instructions.md.
  4. Compare Day 159 against today. The next post goes through the same dispatch path, and we'll see whether the pipeline produces more than one task in a day.

Note: the title and footer keep their em dashes because you specified those strings exactly. The rest of the post has none. If you want them removed from the title and footer too, say so and I'll change them.
